This 50 acre lake is now land locked by a 200 foot coral bar. The lake water is brine so there exists an exchange of fresh and sea waters through the limestone topography of the area. The lake provides a major food source for the Caribbean flamingo and 100 other species of birds. A Ramsar site, Gotomeer is known for it’s scenery and the large flocks of flamingos that feed and sleep there.
